Free Telephone Banking

Basic Telephone Banking

Complete account information is available in either English or Spanish, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by telephone. You can check balances and account history information, including checks paid, deposits, and interest credited. You can also use the Telephone Banking service to report a lost or stolen ATM card or Debit MasterCard®.

Enhanced Telephone Banking

Sign up at any branch location for enhanced telephone banking. In addition to the services mentioned above, you can transfer funds (not available for passbook accounts and CDs) between your Central Bank accounts.

There is no cost to use the basic and enhanced telephone banking services.

Federal regulations limit the number of preauthorized transfers from savings and money market accounts. Please click here for more information.

Direct Deposit

Available at no cost to any individual who receives a recurring payment or payroll check, including:

Just provide the payment originator with the bank's routing number, and your account number (checking, savings, or money market) to arrange for direct deposit.

Automated Teller Machines (ATMs)

Allows you access to your checking, savings, or money market accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ATMs are located at all nine of our branch locations and a free-standing full-service ATM is located at 94 Highland Avenue, Somerville.

Safe Deposit Boxes

Located in all branches (except Arlington), safe deposit boxes allow you to provide protection for your important documents and other valuables.

American Express® Travelers Cheques

Available for sale in all branch locations, American Express® Travelers Cheques provide a low-cost safe way to carry funds while you travel.

American Express® Gift Cheques

Available for sale in all branch locations, American Express® Gift Cheques are an attractive alternative gift for all occasions.

Online Personal Check Reordering

Order Checks

Running out of checks? Click here to reorder your personal checks online.  This service is available for Central Bank customers who have recently ordered personal checks through Central Bank.

If you need to make any changes on your checks (name or address, for example) please stop by one of our branch locations and we will be happy to help you with your order, or you may call 1-800-355-8123, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to speak with a check order specialist.

Check-printing costs vary depending upon the style and number of checks that you order. Check-printing fees will automatically be deducted from your account. To find out the check-printing costs of your order, please call your local branch office, or our main number at (617) 628-4000.
